Koda + Gwen-Zoe Yang
I am Gwen Yang, short for Gwen-Zoe Yang. My parents named me Gwen-Zoe because Gwen means good in Welsh and Zoe means life in Greek, and my mom likes to joke that even though I am neither Welsh nor Greek, I am a citizen of Earth, so the lucky name still works. My mother was born and raised in Malaysia, and my father was born in Taiwan and raised in Germany. So I am the product of the two citizens of the world. I named my puppy Koda because Koda means friend in Lakota Sioux language and happy paddy in Japanese.
